20140417: Horror Review--Dead before Dawn

One line summary: A film about rapid zombies without much humor or plot.

Two stars of five.

Cinematography: 5/10 Better than VHS quality, but not by much.  The SFX vary from mediocre to poor.

Sound: 6/10 I could hear the actors' voices and the incidental music, some of which was appropriate for a zombie comedy.

Acting: 3/10 Weak.  The three is mostly for Christopher Lloyd's short performance.

Screenplay: 2/10 Boring, not funny, not engaging.   The central idea of the curse was beyond stupid.

Okay...  maybe this is one of those rare moments where I'm missing a cultural thingummy - I'm not American, I'm just a fuzzy blue FEMALE alien.  I'm all for the funny, but was Seth McFarlane's song about seeing the boobs of all these awesome Hollywood actresses that I liked supposed to be FUNNY? 

I didn't like it. :(

Hmmm... After atempting to watch Noel Fielding's luxury comedy I can quite clearly see that Julian Barratt was definitely the one who did all the comedy writing for The Mighty Boosh.

Just coming up with the most random "funny" characters you can doesn't work without some decent jokes and substance Noel.

It is literally like he spent all his time thinking up the strangest character names he could by picking random words from a hat and putting them together and totally forgot to write any jokes or storyline to go with them.
