After a no-show from Rani Mukerji, actor fills in ‘guest’ spot on Ram Kapoor’s show...
Actor Ram Kapoor’s TV show Comedy High School got off to a rough start on Wednesday after Rani Mukerji pulled out as the guest on its first episode on account of ill health. She’d recently been a noshow on Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty’s show for the same reason. Meanwhile Rani’s next film has been postponed by a month and will only arrive in theatres in March now.
It was Salman Khan who came to Ram’s rescue at 6 pm. Even the 52-year-old actor was suffering from fever and cold but pulled through with periodical respite in hot water, coffee and an inhaler.
Salman arrived on the show on a cycle and danced to “Sajan Radio” from Tubelight and the Dabangg title track.
In keeping with the show’s theme, the actor joked about helping friends (Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra) look for schools for their kids since he doesn’t have any of his own. Another time, he claimed to have ‘nau bachche’ but was quick to clarify that he meant ‘no bachche.’ During the breaks, he regaled the show’s team with his rendition of “Hangover” and “Tu Hi Tu” from Kick.
The show also marked a reunion for Salman and his screen friend Chandar from Tere Naam, Gopal Datt, who is also a part of Ram’s show.
