Comet Over Delphi, 115 N Ave 59, Los Angeles (Highland Park), CA 90042, Score: 41/50
The highly stylish Comet Over Delphi is certainly attracting the crowds in Highland Park. The large windows open onto the street and make the place bright and breezy.
Score: 41/50
Food: 4/5 – For food, they’re serving pastries from LA’s Café Tropical. Pastries include croissants, guava and cheese pastries, cinnamon rolls, donuts, and muffins. The pastry case didn’t have any labels. The butter croissant was decent but not worth $5.
Coffee: 4/5 – Lots of options, (drip, pour over, cold brew, espresso drinks, espresso sodas), matcha (including higher end matcha reserve drinks), tea, and other drinks. Milk choices: Oat milk, almond milk, or whole milk
Wi-fi: 5/5 – Free, unlimited, ask for the password
Ambiance: 5/5 – Minimalist living room with vinyl records, a record player, open floor plan, brick walls, plants, and newspapers hanging on the wall.
Noise: 5/5 – Quiet, relaxing music
Plugs: 1/5 – I think I saw one
Parking: 4/5 – Not too bad but you’ll probably have to walk a block or two for unlimited free parking, there are also a few paid parking lots
Comfort: 4/5 – Wood chairs aren’t padded but they do have some plush sofas, tables are a good height for laptop camping
Bathroom: 5/5 – One unisex but very nice
Art: 4/5 – Nothing yet
Tips: Cash is not accepted. I think they sell books too? Some outdoor seating is available. It might be hard to find a table.
