How DID you get a job? You're an intern, right? Why did Mrs. Holiday hire you?

Well- I can tell you! It started a few days after I moved here a month or so ago, y'know...

I was heading to the Town Hall, with documents I was told needed to be given to Town Hall to inform them of, well, a new resident and all.

The monster at the front desk seemed busy in the other room though, and while waiting they started talking about a broken coffee machine in the other room, they sounded really worried.

Like anyone would do (right?) I wanted to help... but they seemed busy so I couldn't ask, so i just went straight into the other room to check it out.. I mean, why wouldn't I?

*Reminder: he is bad at reading the room sometimes, he does not know where "not allowed is" to a degree.

We had something similar back at my family's house... My mother broke it often so father taught me how to fix it since I was home with her most of the time. So I kinda had a handle on how coffee makers work, somewhat, so I tried my best!

After a little bit, I got it working- Made a pure black coffee! But I hadn't noticed Mayor Holiday walking in...

I was sure I was in trouble. She sat me down and asked me what I was doing...

I explained to her my entire deal.. At first she seemed really scary, but she... was being really considerate. She tried the coffee I made and... she said it was really good! She said i got it to just how she liked it and..

She offered a way to help me get adjusted to town, fix my documents, and get money!! She said she could use someone like me and I was super honored!!!

I didn't think my mediocre skills in coffee-making would get me here, honestly I'm so surprised that she hired me at all, but I've been trying to improve every day since!!! I'm gonna earn my place!!
