Send me a “♦” for the first word my muse thinks of when your muse is mentioned.
There wasn’t really a proper word to describe his brother. Well, not to him at least. He was everything, and anything at once to him. He was his blood, his family.
Sometimes it felt like his sanity.
"Rock."
"what did you just call me?"

' you cannot take your eyes off me, can you,
lover boy? '
Woof.
Sends me 'woof' for my muses reaction to yours bringing home a puppy.
Reggie frowns slightly at the small animal rubbing against his leg, holding in his mighty desire to just pick up the dog and hug it. He peers up at his brother, trying to make his best unamused face. “Del,” He starts, glancing down when the dog puts its paws on his shin. “What is this?”
"I love you."

Voices, invading his mind like smoke, hissing like serpents in his ears, yanking his lucidity away from him; Delsin is drowning, drowning, drowning… and then that voice, that usually serpentine voice that was smoky and abusive… it was calling to him, dragging him out of the depths of his suffocating thoughts and bringing him into the light. It comes again, a beacon guiding him home. Home, into waiting arms, into the the real world.
First comes a gasp, as if he truly is clearing the surface of water, and then he’s sobbing as the voices begin to fade into the void of his head. When he's fully lucid once more he finds himself clinging to the Infamous, his face pressed into his chest as he sobbed away the fear; strong arms were around him, and he felt hot breath on his neck and back, like the puffs of a great dragon. And that was exactly what the once-Akomish was: a protective dragon, Delsin's guardian.
After a few moments he begins to calm down; his breathing comes easier and he finds the energy to speak. At first he's silent, just listening to the calm heartbeat of the other conduit, the lullaby he'd fallen asleep to multiple times. But now he wasn't tired, he was scared, and shocked - Delsin never said he loved him, or anyone.
"Say it again... please." He breathes, pulling back slightly to look up at the once-Akomish. Then, when he gets no response save for that lion gaze, he continues: "Do you mean it?" Still no response, and he guesses he won't get one, which he accepts as he leans up to catch the other in a salty, trembling kiss. It lasts a moment, and then he's pulling back, offering a reassuring smile. "Good, 'cause I love you, too."
"I believe in you."

Those four soft words are exchanged for warm essence in the dark of a rainy Seattle night, when the two are curled up together in bed, their arms wrapped around each other and legs intertwined. The Infamous murmurs it into Delsin’s hair, then presses a kiss to his forehead. Exhaling in his contentment, he opens his eyes and stares gently into the darkness between them; then he’s snuggling closer to the other, pulling the once-Akomish nearer to him as he presses his face into his neck.
”Thank you.” The conduit mumbles, sweet tirednesstainting his tone as he moves to kiss his alternate’s neck, then his collar. All there is is the silence - their breaths mingling in the shadows, and when neither is angry, when neither is compromised, it’s good enough for them.
"You're not going to lose me."

“You think so? Is that a fucking challenge?" The conduit yells, lips pulled away from his teeth in an angry growl. They’d been going at this for an hour now, snarling across the room at each other, making threats they had every intent to keep if they didn’t make up before the day was through; that was just how their relationship worked. ”We’ll see about that!” Delsin snaps, pointing an accusing finger at the Infamous, eyes narrowed, before turning towards the door.
A shaking hands grasps the handle, and instantly he’s questioning himself: where will he go? His alternate was home now, had been for awhile… and all his stuff was here, even his medicine; he hadn’t been thoughtful enough to get a safe house for when he needed to get away, so inevitably - in this situation - he’d be crawling back to the apartment within days, hours even.
That’s when it struck the Akomish how right Delsin was: he wasn’t going to lose him, because he was physically incapable of it. With a sigh the conduit’s hand drops from the doorknob. He can feel his alternate’s burning gaze on his back, just waiting for him to disappear out the door so he can hurl something in his wake. So he can go out and find him, broken, like he always managed to do.
God, he hated admitting he was wrong, but did he have a choice? Not much of one. Closing his eyes, he exhales then turns, slowly, to face the other conduit once more. ”Maybe you’re right…” He trails off, and he doesn’t have to open his eyes to see the sneer carve itself on Delsin’s features. The other knew he had the Akomish under his thumb; in fact, they both knew it. ”But its more I don’t want to lose you, got that?”
It sounded so wrong, but he meant it.
