      Upon seeing a certain cat climb the wall, Martin quickly excused himself to use the washroom. Too bad for the students who needed the hall pass to actually go to use the washroom.. for Martin had other things in mind. He quickly escaped from the building, and without any teachers noticing.. he sneaked right on outside and towards the normal meeting spot for him and Selina.

      And there she was, about to settle in to wait for recess when the little bird ran at her in a hug. The force of it almost knocked them both down, but thankfully just like a cat, Selina had quick reflexes and stopped them both from falling over.

        fighting, squabbling with each other. what a chase it’s been capturing selina across this city in the midst of a horrific storm. it finally reaches it’s end on a tower far from the center of the city once he pins her right on the ledge, kicking the weapon she has off the surface and a hundred feet down. his breathing comes quickly, anger written across his features. ready to keep her pinned here all night if he has to. bruce doesn’t understand if she’s running because she’s angry at him or if she knows he would do exactly this. get in the way of her plans to seek revenge on jeremiah. it’s clear she’s definitely out to do the latter, but he isn’t certain with the first guess until they proceed to argue again and then out comes these words. expressions soften at once, along with his heart. silence wavers over them along with the sadness that consumes bruce, letting them stand up on their feet at least. it’s confirmation that they love each other, but it’s hell to know they could lose each other so easily and if that were to happen again… it’s the fear of it that drives him mad. but in this moment, he wants her to know…

                “i would die for you.” there’s no hesitation in returning the words, even if pain fills his voice. eyes scanning over every inch of beautiful green in her eyes, the strong gusts of wind tossing his disheveled waves of dark hair on his forehead around. he just takes this moment out to forget about all the chaos erecting or either already happening right below them on this rooftop. it hurts because he’s still pained over almost losing her. it HURTS because he loves her so much. “which is why i won’t let you go.” squeezing her hand, then the other as he grabs both. “you can’t.” there’s no being stubborn, there’s no fighting him. he won’t let her. he won’t. he fears too strongly she’ll only get hurt again. as clever as jeremiah is, he’s possibly expecting her. and then that’s it…next time, he’ll really lose her. and bruce hopes, so desperately, that selina can sense that from the tremendous amount of fear in both his voice and eyes.
