speaking as a writer (disgusting) like. writing is hard. it is! it's hard! but just in terms of like. the amount of TIME you need to write an entire page of comic book vs to draw one single panel. these people are embarrassing themselves! for no real reason! unforced errors all around
no like here’s the thing
I personally have a ton of respect for writers cus A) it takes forever for me to write, like way longer than it would take me to draw something and B) I’m not super confident in my ability. I’m just more of a visual thinker in general. HOWEVER
its the fact that these writers clearly see art/illustration/visual storytelling as a lesser medium that makes me writhe in anger... like they have no business being that disrespectful (to people they literally work with no less...)
like visual storytelling, 2d, 3d, whatever has been around for actual millennia BECAUSE its so compelling and useful and effective... long story short I think it should be illegal for comic writers to have twitter cus A) there is like a primal force that takes hold of them which compels them to spout nonsense and B) they’re an embarrassment to cool writers everywhere.,,
