One year ago, I came up with something dumb. Then, somewhat recently, I found the opportunity to build it, and it turned out way dumber than intended. In spite of this, it is a spectacular work which I am proud of. Thus, I present to you: The Great Beetle Mace! At 5 ′ total length, 1 ‘ width, and over 44 lbs (easily almost 50% heavier than I was projecting in my calculations), it can be swung, but will require a considerable amount of physical conditioning before I may swing it without a lot of deliberation. This work is made entirely out of mild steel stock -- hand-shaped, stick welded, and sandblasted by me, then sent out for powder coating.
spare keyboard.
derp: mommm!
me: you spilled a whole glass of water on the keyboard!!!
me: okay, it's only water, i can fix it.
*disassembles keyboard, dries everything out, reassembles*
me: okay this should work now...
keyboard: fuck you i'm not working
me: ugh still not dry.
me: i'm not missing out on my sweet, sweet computer time
*out from storage comes the comically oversized beige keyboard*
derp: damn that takes up half the desk!
me: yup. this keyboard is older than you kids.
me: and it still works!!
