Today is my final day at Arteles. I have had a brilliant experience with no regrets. The past month in Finland has flew by and I'm so sad to leave! The people I have met were all wonderful, talented and friendly individuals. They have inspired and motivated me to work hard and to continue with my creative pursuits. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on my comic project surrounded by the beautiful Finnish countryside. I will do my best to continue with my project when I'm back home. I know it will be difficult to stay committed with everyday life taking me away! Thank you @artelescreativecenter for everything. Each one of you have been extremely welcoming and helpful. I've finished colouring a short comic that I've submitted for Artele's printed Anthology. 🙌 We were asked to submit a two page comic or illustrations on the theme of "Change". Next month's residents will be asked to produce the same. At the end there will be a copy sent to each particpant. I'm looking forward to seeing all the entries! I'll reveal more of this comic at a later time. In the meantime, I shall continue working on my comic about my Mum's childhood. I have a BIG announcement! 🙌🙌 🙌 In a week's time Joshua and I will be attending Comic Blast, a month long illustration & comic residency in Finland. 😱 Joshua and I will be sharing the residency space with other artists across the globe. This residency is thanks to Arteles, who are one of the biggest international artist residency centers in Finland. I'll be working on a personal project for the entire month of April, and will share photos and drawings of my process and my experience!
