#JackedKirby - A Personal Sketch To The King... From The King!!! 👑👑👑 Before the era of constant repackaging and reprinting of former issues into collections/graphic novels collectors did not have anywhere near the outlets to read back issues of their favorite books. Other then fan made “collected” books that took ACTUAL issues and bound them together from a professional bookmaker, we rarely got a one shot deal that collected multiple issues. But if the King asks, the king shall receive.... 👑👑👑 What we have here is a pencil sketch that appeared in a personal collection of Boy Commando comics. He had the full run collected into a hard-covered leather bound edition, and he sketched this awesome team shot on the interior cover!!! It’s a dedication fit for a King... TO THE KING!!! 👑👑👑 This sketch, like many of Kirby’s personal creations from his own collection, was printed in The Jack Kirby Collector Volume 10 #Issue34 (March/April 2002) from Two Morrows publishing. TJKC had unbelievable access from the Kirby Estate to these types of personal sketches... things that have never (or would never) have seen the light of day previously. 👑👑👑 The Boy Commandos have never looked so great... Alfie, Andre, Jan, Brooklyn and Rip Carter are a team of soldiers from all over the globe that have combined forces to battle the Nazis... and in this one beauty of a personal collection we got these amazing headshots from Jack.
