ComicCon Asia 2018!
Summary: So my friends and I went there, and damn we had such fun! So many cool cosplayers, and great times to be had. Lines were terrible, but I also got to meet some incredible people?! So all in all a good day!
OH AND I MET SUPERBOY XD
So start of the day, lines, lines, lines
So I dressed up as Dipper pines cuz honestly I don’t have any other costume that fits me.
I went with my sister too. Btw, she’s the one who does some art for me sometimes, the ones I share here (she’s too shy to share it herself)
So lots of stuff happened but well, since this is a damijon blog, let me just share with you the relevant stuff...like how I met my first ever Superboy Jon Kent Cosplayer in my country, the cute, talented, and huge Super Sons fan, Superboy PH! He was with his Justice League cosplayers group together with his dad, and man, when we met, we were both extremely giddy and excited cuz I just loved his cosplay (and Jon Kent lol) and he was sooo stoked that someone recognized his cosplay (jon kent needs more love in my country)! And when I showed him my phone lockscreen, which was a Jon Kent panel from Jorge Jimenez’s art in Super Sons 8, he was like, “we were destined to meet up!”
So we chatted a lot about the fandom, and he’s a real huge fan of the series, too. His jacket/cape was custom made, he bought the shoes and he ripped his pants himself. I told him that I came across a booth that was selling some Super Sons merch and he was like “show me!” and we ran back to it. Sadly though, when we got there, a lot of the merch was already sold out. The artists said it was my fault, and they’re not wrong, because when I found them earlier, I nearly cleaned them out, I mean check out the stuff I bought!

And they are huge fans of the series too, and when they saw Superboy there was much fanboying to be had lol. As a compromise, I let Superboy borrow my print so he could pose for pictures for with it.
I even chatted up Superboy’s dad, and man, he was just so proud of his kid. He told me that Superboy is actually a commercial model/actor on the side. and to prove just how proud he is, he took out a phone with one of the commercial already on the screen ready for me to watch XD Kinda reminds me of how Clark would dote on Jon haha.
