"I'll give you $500 if you let me kidnap you and use you as a hostage for… oh call it 25 minutes? Easy money, right, kid?"

"I'm not a kid," Peter replies, immediately. Without thinking. Typical Peter Parker.

Luckily, Deadpool has bigger problems, on many levels, and doesn't notice that Peter's reaction to being propositioned for a temporary hostage situation is almost as odd as the proposition itself.

"Okay, fine," says Deadpool, checking back through the emergency exit he just barged in from. "Let’s make it a thousand and I'll call you Daddy, how's that?"

Deadpool pays Peter Parker to pretend to be his hostage, and then Peter sort of ends up sleeping with Spider-man’s best buddy Deadpool. Things only get more out of control from there. 

A comics-verse fast burn conflagration of idiots to lovers and identity porn set just after Spider-man/Deadpool #50 and during the post-Hydra-Cap fallout.

Note: this is comics canon so Wade and Peter are both in their mid-late 30s.

Headcanon

In the issues of Uncanny X-Men & X-Men after Rogue defected from the Brotherhood she says at least twice that she can recognise Mystique no matter what form she takes.

How does she do this?

My take is that Mystique created subtle ‘tells’ and trained Rogue to be able to spot them so as to identify her. I remember reading a fanfic years ago where Rogue was in a shopping mall in a training exercise trying to identify who her mother was. It was done at a young age so it became almost subconscious on Rogue’s part.

After Rogue left the Brotherhood Mystique gradually stopped using the tells and Rogue increasingly became unable to identify her in disguise. This is obvious in the comics, as there’s a point where she says she must be losing her touch in one particular issue and another where she cracks Mystique a nasty blow without realising who she is.
