Wips

feeding my page with some art wips ill likely never finish. its sad because i really like how they look! but im going through a lot of artblock and simply find it hard to put in the time!

first we have a wip of @comikbook s character Mercy? i really like comik books style a lot and wanted to get out of my adventure zone a lot with a more eccentric style. but due to artblock i havnt put in the love to mercy that i wanted to... I was originally also going to include her lover, but settled to include her eyes. i liked the idea of a dead stare. Im also happy with getting to include the biopsy stitching in the background. i just like adding that to undead chartcters.

Below are my wip for ocs (as to not make this too long)

wanted to give misha a proper portrait as she mostly just had references. most non ref works are very old, so much so theyre from an entirely different story line that i scraped. im happy i got her nose and lips right. i find her mouth is a defining feature for her so if i get it wrong it throws her off. Misha was created in a time i didnt draw noses so its hard to get her nose down. either way. i like it. i wont finish it likely but ill most def keep this on her page for artfight or character hub!

I REALLY like this redraw of a painting of lillith that I did with atlas. but its a very detail oriented piece and i dont have the energy for that right now. i would much rather focus on art including him and his husband as to knock out two birds with one stone. as im not proud of the first and only drawing of them together.

THIS is the drawing im refering too. im happy with atlases dress but everything else needs to be redone. :( i was really upset about this drawing because ive been stressing to myself about how i shouldnt worry too much about rendering. and this proved me wrong. i want to draw a lot, post a lot. i just need to find what works for me.

i seriously had so much fun drawing mercy, and now there's a brush labeled "bullet belt" in my firealpaca, cause my hand started cramping on the third bullet in the sketch 😬 i wanted to reference the iconic "A Fistful of Dollars" poster and i think that inspiration, paired with the potency of Mercy's playlist, carried me through each step like a fugue state

seriously, this piece was a blast to put together and Mercy's such a rich character!!! shoutout to liz for making such a hypnotically draw-able warlock!!
