and what is with weird thing in idw sonic that they can’t show humans besides eggman? They can’t even show background human characters that will never ever reappear again such as that one issue of blaze and sonic is running through a strangely conveniently empty spagonia city

what’s the point of saying two worlds isn’t canon but instead it is humans are on the continents and animal folk on islands with clarified that sonic world is just earth but humans and animal folk yet don’t even shown humans at places where humans should be in places at the main continents

Idw is (somehow) still a Forces sequel, so I guess they’re just still operating by pre Sonic Forces rules… For some reason… I really hope that their jump at post Frontiers content makes humans appear again, because this is getting ridiculous. We can’t keep getting “lore” from YouTube videos and then not see the lore applied anywhere in canon. It feels like a “damn, here, take your stupid canon explanation” instead of a genuine piece of world building

I have a little bit of hope because of that on Tailstube original character that’s a human. Profesor Victoria (was that her name?) So that tells me that they’re not COMPLETELY against human characters, they’re just taking their sweet time to replace those pre Forces rules… for whenever reason…

I have a conspiracy theory that this is the influence of the movies as well. Within the fandom (and specifically the fandom, general public doesn’t seem to have this issue) the least liked part of the movies is the original human characters. And since the comics are primarily read by the fans and not general audiences, Sega has, once again, learned the wrong lesson and just assumed that the fandom hates humans existing. Or maybe I’m just saying bullshit idk

Yeah, I didn't mind Silver getting punished. But I didn't like how Whisper gets away with it without getting punished. Silver would have gone in everyday things if Whisper didn't told him about Mimic and Whisper is also at fault for the duo situation yet she gets away with it but Silver is the only one. I mean even if Lanolin sees her reliable member, she could at least punish her like maybe suspension.

It is also double standard how Whisper can get away with this. Silver is dangerous yes, but so is Whisper in that situation.

Also add the fact that the Duo subplot could have written better if we have given a reason why Lanolin trust Duo more than anyone. It is also weirded out that he got recruited quickly AFTER they discussed about recruitment. They didn't bother checking his background or his skillsets. Literally some of the Restoration members could be potential Diamond Cutters member yet a stranger came in. It is even worst coming from Whisper who accepted Duo quickly. I wouldn't mind if we are given many comic issues of Duo's skills and heroism to prove he is a great member but we just into the next part without given a reason.

I could see Lanolin looking for Duo since she is underdog like her but it is barely shown in every comic issues. So we were never given any reason to trust Duo even if Lanolin doesn't know Silver well.

I was arguing for “Lanolin sees Silver as dangerous” because he’s the one in the team she knew the least up to that moment (even including Duo) while at least she’s already been in a mission with Whisper before so she has sort of some understanding of where she stands. But I agree with being crazy how Whisper got out of it pretty much consequencesless. Silver got scolded over his behavior, kicked out of the team, Lanolin was like the only one to apologize, and Whisper… what? Nothing? And I don’t mean having Lanolin scold her too, but like… an apology? Am I really remembering wrong or was Lanolin really the only one to apologize at the end?

I agree with the second point. The lack of security check at the diamond cutters is INSANE. No job interview, no nothing? Even if we ignore Duo being Mimic. He was… pretty much defenseless and useless. They didn’t bother checking if their new teammate wouldn’t be a liability by his apparent lack of combat experience? It makes the three of them look incompetent tbh

If IDW is planning to add humans in the comics, I hope they used characters like Professor Pickles because I felt some humans in the Sonic main canon are either GUN or Robotnik or both that it is no longer entertaining to see more, especially when Unleashed showcase how caring the humans are to Sonic and everyone else.

What I like about Professor Pickles that he isn't GUN nor a Robotnik to make Sonic world more bigger. I like Tori but felt she is replacing Professor Pickles and if theory about Tori is true, then I hope they do well with that characterization.

I also want to see Spagonia and other location like Windmill island because the atmosphere is beautiful.

That one moment where Blaze and Sonic went to Spagonia and it was all suspiciously empty as to not show any humans was so odd. The humans make the world feel so much alive, and if thw few humans we're allowed to have are all either relatives to Eggman or G.U.N agents it makes the world feel so much smaller.

Give us aide character humans. Give us NPC humans. Bring Professor Pickles back cowards

Im mad how rouge is done in IDW, they write her as if she follows shadow like a dog

I liked that one one shot where she got paired up with Tangle to take down Rough and Tumble and she snatched the emerald out of here while she wasn't looking. That was a fun thing. Rouge interacting with anyone is always fun, I'll forever thank issue 80 for giving us some Rouge and Espio.

Let her have friends god. She barely even talks to Omega, yk, the second guy in her team? HER team, that she started and was supposed to be the leader of? When will they be shown to have a relationship with each other outside of Shadow...?

Rereading the DC x Sonic crossover comic, I think it would have been benefit that each issue is a different story with a Sonic character and a DC superhero. Like for example, Sonic meets Flash deal with Reverse Flash in one issue with the next issue with Amy in Themiscrya learning about being an Amazon warrior by Wonder Woman. While the 5-issue story works for a major story, it does felt the pacing issues didn't help. I mean the last crossover comic didn't include Tails with the titans until the new crossover issue came. I think this would benefit Sonic characters able to be with the other DC superheroes and then they can have a major story in the last few issues. Like the first few issues involve the Sonic cast meeting the DC heroes, then each issue involves a Sonic character and a DC character, and finally the last few issues involves the cast together against the villain.

I mean would have been fun for Shadow to meet Gotham villains and learn most of the villains are suffering like Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, and so on which give reason why Batman choose mercy. Or Silver interacting with other Green Lanterns (I mean i like how Silver is willing to murder Guy Gardner). There is also the fact of having Tails used as a leader to the titans. And Blaze having to learn how Starfire has gone though.

I feel this would give love to both Sonic and DC fans to be able to get a chance to love the issue.

Completely agree. My one issue with the crossover is the pacing. They have too little issues to work with and as a result we get villains getting one shoted in two pages. Metal is the most outrageous, of course, but like... ALL villains were dealt with too quickly? The interactions are nice, but we're going WAY TOO Fast, I'm afraid
