Heya everyone! Decided to open my own blog to write short bits about my commander Lanai and her misadventures with her friends (as well as mine).  I will post GW2 short story bits and ideas I have as well as reblog some GW2 stuff. I’m a huge Trahearne/Trammander fan so hit me up if you post that as well !! I also love salad commanders so much so if you post a lot of sylvari feel free to like so I can follow you. Summary:

Cain Thornblade, a sylvari warden, contemplates his and his team's capture by the hands of the inquest.

This is part of the origin story for both Cain and Lanai, my GW2 characters. I finally finished this after half a year! I really hope you all like it. :D

Lanai didn’t always have her purple color; before she was experimented on, she had a lovely pink foliage that could rival any flower. However, when she was rescued, she came back to the Grove with her pink appearance replaced with a dull, gray tint with hints of purple for a while.

  After a few weeks of recovering, the strong, brand-like purple started spreading until it covered her whole skin. This new color earned her the nickname “The Night Flower” on the grove. 

   Although she was fond of her pink coloration, she does not miss her old foliage. Her current appearance shows how much she’s struggled and overcome, and she finds it beautiful to show. Besides, someone dear to her once told her beauty can be found in the things people dare not understand.  ________________________________________________________ Here’s a drawing of Lanai that I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH done by @fellis-world!!! Character Bio - Nyfian Lanai

To the general populace of Tyria she’s mostly known as the commander of the pact. To her comrades, she is known as the crystal champion. To her friends, she is lovingly referred to as Lanai. Very few ones know or even refer to the name she had when she emerged from the Pale Tree: Nyfian. 

Lanai, born of the cycle of Dusk, came into this world with pure curiosity, excitement, and wonder of her new environment; all despite her abrupt awakening from the dream, where she saw herself fighting a dragon. Due to her very particular Wyld Hunt, the Pale Tree tasked a few wardens and her cycle mentor to take care of her and train her until it was time to send her on her hunt. However, she was not keen to being kept in one place,  She was just a few years old when she, along with a few other Sylvari, was kidnapped by a group of Inquest. Not many know what happened during her months of capture, and few could guess what kind of torture she went through.

All everyone knows is that, when she was rescued by a group of wardens led by Trahearne, she came back with many scars, bruises, and branded crystals painfully encrusted in her arms. Even today, she still hides her brand marks behind gloves and wrappings, along with the trauma of the experience deep inside her mind.

Currently, she leads the adventurer’s guild Dragon’s Watch, forming a very close family-like relationship with the members of the guild. She also represents the elder dragon Aurene, who healed her brand into prismatic magic, in official Tyrian matters as her champion.

Lanai has struggled a lot, and lost so many loved ones in her life. But, despite everything, she has still remained the inquisitive and curious sapling that emerged from the Pale Tree loving the world and her friends, and she will fight with her life for it.
