Disco has killed 2 woc, now a gay afro latino. On top of that they had Hugh’s killer be the pstd abuse victim who happens to be Pakistani so people are completely justified in quitting the show if that’s what they choose. Disco writers celebrate their “diversity” but that requires more than having poc on the show. The bridge has Rhys, Joann Owosekun, and B.A. Bryce who are diversity eye candy. Georgia, Landry, and Hugh were poc who got screen time, each with more than the last (Hugh being a regular), and all ended up dying in gross ways. Meanwhile Tilly, Lorca, and Stamets are still alive. Disco hasn’t offed any white mains in the name of shaking things up. People’s anger and frustration are justified so let fans have their discussion. Even if Hugh’s brought back thats a gross trope the writers used. Let Disco receive the criticism it deserves without jumping down people’s throats.  You can criticize what you enjoy, it doesn’t make anyone less of a fan, but it does make Disco less of an enjoyable show.

Ellen Landry was the chief of security assigned to the starship Discovery at the start of the Klingon War. Dedicated to her craft, and determined to provide her captain with a potent weapon for the war, Landry was mauled by a terrorized space creature in an attempt to collect its alleged venom.

Captain Killy and mirror!Landry: my headcanon vignettes

 Hello, my friend @pixiedane​ asked me to post these somewhere and I think tumblr is a good place? 

Captain Killy has lovers of all genders in any port she feels like, but Landry is her lady, whom she’d love if love weren’t a terrible weakness that makes you end up with a knife in your back.

Mirror Tilly and Mirror Landry met when Tilly first got to the Discovery. They hit it off, and Landry decided to help Tilly rise through the ranks. She hated the Discovery’s old captain.

While Mirror Landry is a soft lady, she could still kill you if she wanted. She probably doesn’t want. However, she has a strong sense of self preservation. She rises through the ranks, but not because of ambition. 

One time Mirror Landry brought Captain Killy flowers. She acted like she was unimpressed and was going to set them on fire, but she actually kept them in a dark corner of her quarters until they died. 

Mirror Landry is the one who taught Captain Killy how to use poisons. Especially organic poisons. Hence all the flower deliveries.

The ISS Discovery crew is terrified of Captain Killy, but they’re especially terrified to acknowledge her relationship with Landry. One time, a crew member attempted to kill Landry to weaken to Killy, but Landry held them off. When she reported it to Killy, Killy chastised her for not killing the crew member. Then she spaced them and their entire group of friends.
