Screencap redraw of this scene from Space Symphony Maetel (see below) — I wanted Leopard to display more openly the rage that had been brewing inside him for years, now coming to light; an emotion which, in my humble opinion, lacked in the og animation :]

Funnily enough, I already redrew that very extract back in 2021!

Gf and I were looking through a Matsumoto art/info book I own and I got to the Queen Millennia character page and I was like "who's this cute boy?" And she sounded out the Katakana and was like "that's Leopard." So I can't believe I'm so uniformed That I didn't realize Commander Leopard was originally from the QM manga, but there he is, dumb hat and all.

Two very different characters sharing the same French VA (small rant under the cut, for anyone curious)

Sometimes I think about how Martial Le Minoux was the French VA to both these characters, who are part of my childhood/teenage years and whom I still very much love today.

He voiced a TON of other worldwide famous characters, making them accessible to French audiences — but realising he voiced both Commander Leopard (Space Symphony Maetel) and The Riddler (Arkhamverse specifically) blew my mind, and I am still not over it.

SSM is so niche, even amidst the Leijiverse, that it felt like I was going crazy learning about this. It's so dumb! I love it. And most importantly, I cannot, for the life of me, unhear Nygma's snarky comments every time I rewatch the French dub of SSM. And yet, the characters could hardly be more different from one another.

I'm probably the only target audience for that drawing, but I thought, hey, why not sharing with the group, since I haven't posted in a bit
