That was how anyone would describe Commander Santos, the man leading the Transformers Reaction Force, the vicious paramilitary organization hunting Autobots and Decepticons alike.

But that had not always been the case. In fact, there was a time when he believed in the Autobots, as tenuous as that thread of belief may have been.

So what changed to turn the nervous, outspoken soldier into the ruthless, unquestioning leader that he is now?

His comms crackled to life again. "Bu.. but Lieutenant, our orders were to capture any Transformer we come across."

"Orders changed now," he said, his glazed eyes watching as the mech, in all its terrifying splendour of screeching metal and volatile sparks, struggled to stand, bringing down concrete and dust from the nearby buildings it attempted to use as a griphold. His Captain's broken body was increasingly shrouded from his view.

There was no mercy in war.

Like a fool, he had believed otherwise. And now, it had cost him a life.

"Lie.. lieutenant?"

"It's Acting Captain Santos now."

[Look who is giving depth to characters that have no depth, in movies that are literal trashfires. It appears that I am a masochist]

Santiago Cabrera should stop signing on projects where Akiva Goldsman is involved. Both Transformers 5 and Picard sucked

Imagine if Transfomers 5 had been a good movie. We could have had antagonist!Santiago complete with a redemption arc. How cool would it have been
