It’s not a comfortable thing to answer, for they were actually my right-hand mate on the team, but they died due to Haggar’s druids. We barely escaped the ambush and since I was the one with the most important information on the team, she sacrificed her life to save mine…

I could type you a short list of reasons why i cannot help you. But my only talents are singing, being sarcastic, and researching things. And drawing mountains. Only mountains.

We could use another researcher. Ours died in one of the scouting runs above-ground. As for mountains, I’m sure you’ll be able to extend that to cartography soon- that’s useful. The sarcasm and singing are both good off the clock- in which we are able to do sometimes, so consider yourself a Blade!

Alright, because this is going to get a little long, I’ll put all the information under a cut. (Be aware, half of what I am about to say is cannon, the other half is NOT.)

The Blade of Marmora organization started when the war erupted. Zarkon was bringing all his able-bodied men and women together to create an army against King Alfor of Altea, and I had met Kolivan during that period of time. At first, I was willing to fight for Zarkon, because I had lost so much, being away from Daibazaal when it happened- for I was originally a computers analyst working directly for the noble class, so I traveled to wherever Zarkon, Honerva, or Alfor needed more techies- I had a family back on Daibazaal, and I had lost them due to the planet’s destruction.

Kolivan was one of the first recruits to realize that Zarkon’s revival was a bane to the empire, and he warned me feverishly that Zarkon would put us all to ruin. One night, when I was out on a raid with Prorok and Haxus, that was when the realization of Kolivan’s truth. We had murdered innocent Altean citizens who had nothing to do with what happened on Daibazaal. I had been lied to, thinking that the “base” we were attacking was of military use, when in reality it was a refugee shelter. I broke away from the Empire and founded the Blade of Marmora with Kolivan. We tried to tell as many people as we could, publicly, but it didn’t go too well… A large number of the original force was lost, and so we had to go into hiding. Centuries later, we became the Galra Empire’s open, but forgotten secret.

We had branches, which did various functions both above-ground among the military of the Empire, and underground which was our main force. I led the one that was scattered among the Empire forces and became our main hacker for information on Voltron. Kolivan was the one to realize that in order for the Empire to become peaceful again, we needed to be on the Chosen Paladins’ sides. I was then made to attend to the Gladiator Pits for a while, training those who were going to be challenged, until they decided that “throwing them blindly to the lions” was a better option.

Krolia and Ulaz were recent recruits, and I hadn’t been in contact with them before we met in person to take the necessary mantle of the Royal Lieutenant, in order to travel to different areas to find more information of Voltron’s whereabouts. Krolia became a Commander and Ulaz had actually been called back to the underground force before becoming a Sergeant.

When we heard Krolia was the first to find the Blue Lion, the Blades knew that we had to start picking up the pace…

And that’s how we ended up to where we are now. I hope that little lecture helped you understand more about us. And if you ever feel like joining, come talk to me!
