“Holly, you play League of Legends or World of Warcraft, right?”

It was quite a while after Ross and Holly had met, not that he’d ever forget it though. Who wouldn’t want to wear such a great costume and spend time with such a great girl? Ross would never know but that didn’t matter. It didn’t matter because he was the one who got to do those things and meet Holly. The two had kept in contact, met at various conventions time after time and slowly Ross had noticed that he may..have some feelings for her. He mentioned it to a few of the grumps and they’d told him to go for it, and he quotes ‘The worst thing she could say was no’…even though no was a horrible thing to hear.
Anyway it had taken Ross a while to build up the courage but he’d finally asked Holly if she’d like to go see a film, maybe go for dinner afterwards, to which she’d agreed. Ross had to keep his excitement down so he didn’t scare her.
The night had gone fine, the film was good and the food was great and Holly looked amazing… but every time Ross saw the chance to go in for a kiss..he chickened out. He couldn’t help being nervous. The last chance he has was as he walked her up to her doorstep, hands linked as he did so.
Reaching the door Ross drew a small breath as he turned to look at Holly, a small smile on his lips. “Thanks..for agreeing to come, Hol’.” He murmured softly, raising his free hand to run it through his hair. “I-..It was nice..” He added on quickly, nerves rising again but- No. He had to do it. Biting his lip a little the Aussie lent in, pressing a light kiss to the slightly elder woman’s lips.
Holly: I know the wedding is going to be a good time, I don't have to wear a bra with my dress.
Ross: Do I get to go commando, too?

Ross fucking hated Los Angeles traffic. He hated traffic and the weird hours he kept at the grump office and the mere fact that he wasn't at home with Holly right now. That last one was probably the biggest problem at the moment. It was the cause of his thudding heart and whited out knuckles as he gripped the steering wheel a little tighter. Getting to his wife was a priority after the string of text messages that they'd recently exchanged. Ross knew that it was shitty of him to duck out of the office without explaining himself, but everyone would understand eventually. Once he had a chance to sit down with Holly, to calm her down and know that she was okay first and foremost before they sorted out the situation. The only thing Ross could really be thankful for at the moment was the fact that they hadn't been recording when he ditched Arin.
"Fucking move!"
The light was a bright green and Ross had no patience. Not when there was a chance that Holly was… well, pregnant. That'd been it. That was the 'thing that happened' - or might have, Ross didn't know exactly. One pregnancy test wasn't completely a sure thing, but he wasn't going to bet on it being wrong because that felt like the shitty thing to do and he couldn't go into this unprepared. He drew in a deep breath, steady and heavy as the cars in front of him finally started to move in succession, bringing him that much closer to home. Ross held it and held it until he was gasping a sigh, trying to force out the fretting thoughts from his head.
Knowing that Holly was already panicking (quite literally shaking), made Ross nervous beyond belief, but one of them had to keep their head on in this situation. It was obvious that Holly was much more deserving of playing the Freak Out card at this point, too, so Ross was doing his best to push aside his spastic tendencies in favor of taking on a more calm exterior. Maybe if he could think things through well enough, everything would turn out okay. Maybe not great or good, but at the very least, okay. Ross could live with okay.
It took a while, a lot longer than Ross would've liked, but eventually he pulled into his and Holly's driveway. He was quick to exit the car, pocketing his keys, and instead of going to the front door, he bypassed the entry altogether to go for the gate into the backyard. Ross walked towards their makeshift home for the pigeons and doves, spotting Holly amongst the birds. The very sight of her gave him a little relief, but not much. He felt rattled and loose and wound up tight all at once, but Ross did his best to look neutral when he approached the large cage.
"Holly," he called out, not quite smiling as he reached for the latch, looking between all of the birds to be sure none of them would make a break for it. "Clear to come in?" Ross didn't wait too long before taking the brief risk, quick to lock the wired door behind himself again. He refrained from a sigh and headed for Holly in an instant, worry and anxiety feeling like a never-ending plague. "How're you doing?" Ross questioned quietly, brows drawing together as he moved close, hand reaching out for hers.
