Kerra would love to meet Thalys; they would most definitely vibe. She'd be very supportive of Thalys' animal sanctuary idea, for sure :) Worried/protective/family all come from Thalys being a) someone she'd like and b) a fellow commander, and I feel like they'd be able to have a conversation about a whole lot of things for quite a long time, if they wanted to!

Sounds like a plan, tyty!! :D@commanderthalys 😭 CRYING - what makes them cry? do they cry easily? Kerra cries most often from being overwhelmed, either by strong emotions or by just Too Much Crap happening at once. She doesn't cry easily in crisis situations, but if you're telling her a story (or she's reading/watching one), she will probably cry at particularly happy or sad moments. Rel says she cried when reading a Snargle Goldclaw novel once. She fervently denies this. 👁️ EYE - what color are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)? Kerra's eyes are a light purple (I'd have to check the name of the color in-game, but it's some shade of lavender). When they glow at night, though, they look almost white. In terms of things people notice, it's usually either her determination (which is easily visible in her eyes) or the fact that when she smiles, the corners of her eyes crinkle a little in a way that makes it clear she smiles a Lot.

1. Who are they and what's their dynamic with the commander?

Kai is very very in love with and dating Caithe! The two had a rough road but they got here, and the dynamic is very loving murder wives. They're so soft with each other and Aurene but very tough love with just about everyone else. Your tough lesbian aunts with extremely high standards. And they can often be found right at each others' backs in battle and gently helping each other with injuries after.

6. Does/would being the commander's LI affect how they're treated?

Oh absolutely, Caithe sees a side of Kai that literally no one else does. And she tries to gently coax Kai to show that side to the team more, it's a slow learning process. She's gotten a bit better with Braham and Rox but the others still mostly just see her rougher edges.

But when it's just Kai and Caithe at home alone she is so fucking soft...so loving and gentle and sweet with Caithe

9. How did they/how would they have reacted to the commander's death at Balthazar's hands?

Hypothetically, badly! Really fucking badly! They weren't dating yet, but Caithe would've gone into autopilot and tried to get the fucking job done like in HoT, just buckling down not interacting much and keeping things moving until Kai revived.

BUT!!!

Canonically in this run, Kai didn't actually die, Caithe did because she's Aurene's champion while Kai is the Commander. It's what sort of forced them into each others' lives after some rocky moments. And Caithe dying hit Kai harder than she expected. A lot harder. She was diving fully into saving Aurene in Caithe's honor until Caithe popped up back to life, and she avoided Caithe a lot afterward because she had no idea what new emotions she was feeling and how to interpret them.

🦠: Do they sneeze like a dad?

I've never thought about her sneezes before but I'm deciding now that yes she does uvu she has very big loud sneezes. And if you say Anything about those sneezes it's your life on the line.

☀️: Most hated weather?

Rain, it makes tracking harder! It won't stop her of course, she's learned well what she can do in rain still, but it removes a few options and that's simply inconvenient. However, after rain is the best time to track! Loose mud that everything settles into and sticks to, your ass is grass if you're on the run and she's been sent out.

🍴: Weirdest thing they've eaten?

Sylvari, out of curiosity once. Wasn't bad, but not really to her taste either.

🧩: How would they do in an escape room?

You want her to sit and do puzzles to leave a space? That's so cute that you think a locked door would hold her in~ Either that door is going to be weak enough to break down for her or her cats, or a wall is coming down uvu She will not dance around solving some puzzles for the amusement of the game masters. However if she was less of a bad sport she would rock at escape rooms

👁️ EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?

Rae's eyes are a very vibrant violet. His eyes were supposed to be a hazel green, but due to being experimented on, his eyes were affected.

His day vision is normal, but his night vision is excellent due to the experimental enhancements done on him. He has control over how much detail he needs to see at night, kinda like controlling low or high contrast on a black and white image.

It's hard not to notice Rae's eyes, as it's probably his most define feature about him.

❤️ RED HEART - their love language(s)?

Rae's love language is a bit complicated. He's got "cooldowns" on his bonding time. When he bonds with a partner, he goes all out in his care and tenderness for said partner. One of his most notable love languages is listening to his partner when they talk about something they're passionate about. He encourages his partner to be their best. He's open to cuddling if that's what his partner likes, or even just sitting in the same space in silence, enjoying each others' company. He understands and respect his partner's boundaries.

However, after about 1-3 months, something just ticks and he becomes emotionally unavailable/closed off, leaving his partner(s) wondering what went wrong.

It's hard to keep a relationship with him, and he doesn't feel bad or regretful from breaking it off suddenly. Basically, he sincerely enjoyed his time with his partner, but the fire's gone and he's on a cooldown until it reignites (which could vary in time depending how deeply involved he was in the relationship).

If he ever gets a partner who catches on and doesn't mind the wait time on his bonding reset, it could work out. But as of current, he hasn't had anyone stick around/keep up with him yet.
