A weed? Or a native plant struggling to survive? Scurvy Weed (Commelina cyanea) This beautiful little Australian native is growing where it can and provides a wonderful dash of colour. It’s a local native with a range across eastern New South Wales, from Narooma northwards, up into Queensland. Scurvy Weed (Commelina cyanea) This beautiful little Australian native is growing all over my large compost heap and is fighting with the Wandering Trad (Tradescantia fluminensis) which is an invasive weed. It’s a local native with a range across eastern New South Wales, from Narooma northwards, up into Queensland. I’ve tried growing it in a trough but the Tradescantia also decided to grow in with it.
