Finn!!! Help me back up!!!
Graduation...finally
So, it's been a while since I posted something personal and whatever. At some point I think I realized it was better if I distanced myself from feelings in general. Today was a little different. I finally graduated from college, which at some point I thought was not gonna happen. But what has me more in awe is not graduation or that I got a diploma...it's my friends and family.
They got me here, and to be honest, I both can't believe and am incredibly grateful that I can count on them. What did I do to deserve them? I don't know but I must've done something good, because I'm sure there's no place I would've found the amazing people that were with my today. To see my friends, who have become my second family, after I left the ceremony was such an awesome feeling to see them there waiting for me. Not to make it super egocentric but I for reals have the best friends!
And then my family...I knew that my parents were going to make a big deal about it, but to hear the pride in their voices was simply heart-warming. It was because of their sacrifice that I got this far, and I can't thank them enough...
Not to get super sappy, but with all the shit that went down this last semester I realized that while my economic situation sucks, I have people around me that will support me through it...without jealousy, greed, or whatever other stupid thing. I literally owe my life to them, and I will try my hardest to make them proud and show them that I'm worth their friendship and support.
