“CAN’T YOU EVER JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP?! YOURE JUST LIKE YOUR MOTHER!”—shatter—“GET BACK HERE YOU PIECE OF SHIT! (Y/N)!!!!”
You ran. It was pouring, you had no idea where your destination was, but you had to be anywhere but with him. Tears fell down your face along with incoherent sobs and blood from your fresh head wound. Your step faltered making you wobble all over the place. You found your way to a bridge and went to make your way under it before tripping on a rock, making you tumble down the steep slope. Pain pounded into your head.
You laid in the wet grass, water falling onto your face, you covered your eyes and let everything out. All of your emotions. The hurt. The anger. The sadness. You were tired of being treated like garbage just because you looked like your mother. Everyone knew her. She was a pro-hero, and with that everyone knew when she cheated on your father. It was big news. They got a divorce and she didn’t care enough to keep you.
Slowly sitting up, you dug your nails into the ground beneath you. When all the sudden a shadow loomed from above, blocking the street lights that were once on you. Panic made its way through your veins, your heart pounding so hard it seemed like it was going to explode. Your vision started tunneling. Someone called out to you, but they were words you couldn’t understand. You were too tired. And with that, you let the darkness envelope you.
“Hello...? Honey, are you alright?” When you came too, you looked up to see a beautiful woman with black hair. “Oh! Eijiro honey! Get the girl some water please!”
“On it!”
Taking a look at your surroundings, a tear fell from your eye, softly, the woman wiped it away.
“Don’t worry dear... you’re safe here... can I ask what your name is?”
Looking at the woman with tired eyes, you spoke, your throat hoarse, “I’m (F/n) (L/n)... thank you ma’am...” A soft smile formed on the woman’s face, one you hadn’t seen in a long time.
“My name is Sarada” Her hand stroked your hair, causing your chest to feel warm. You closed your eyes to enjoy the moment when loud footsteps came running into the room.
“I GOT THE WATER!” You opened your eyes to see a boy with bright red hair, his bangs threatening to cover his eyes. You two made eye contact and he smiled, setting the water on a the desk next to your bed. “Here ya go. My names Kirishima! I’m glad you’re okay.” Sitting up with the help from his mother, you grabbed the cup.
“My name is (F/n)(L/n)... um... thank you two for helping me... I really appreciate it.” You took a sip of the water, it felt pleasant on your parched throat.
“May I ask what happened dear?” Sarada’s eyes softened at you, quickly, you looked down at your lap to avoid her gaze.
“Um... I don’t want you to feel bad for me or anything... but... my dad was beating me and smashed a bottle on my head... but it’s okay! Really! I’m used to it!” You quickly waved your hands in front of yourself. Knowing this isn’t something people normally hear.
The two stared at you with pure shock. The boy named Kirishima quickly clenched his fists. “What the hell?! How can anyone who call themselves a man lay a hand on a girl?!”
You looked down at the cup in your hands. “Well... I look like my mom... so it’s my fault really, not his-“
Your words were cut off by Kirishima, “NO! No matter what, it’s not okay (Y/n)!” You looked up at him with wide eyes, the sudden burst shocking you a bit. The three of you sat in silence until Sarada spoke up.
“Well dear... Even though I’m just a stranger to you, I don’t feel comfortable sending you back to your home. So why don’t you live with us for awhile?” You sat up in shock.
“Would... that be alright?” You stared at her with glossy eyes. Never had anyone cared so much about your well being. Sarada chuckled at you.
“If it wasn’t dear, I wouldn’t have asked.” Tears pooled in the corners of your eyes.
“Thank you... really...” You gave your best smile to Sarada, before she spoke up again.
“No need to thank me dear. Good thing we have a guest room. But how about we get you cleaned up. And while we’re doing that,” she looked up at Kirishima, “Eijiro dear. Will you set up the bed in the guest room?”
Kirishima gave her a thumbs up before making his way upstairs, before he could escape, you called his name, causing him to stop and look at you. Quickly, you got up and gave the boy a hug. Both of your faces flushed and you quickly let go before hurrying off to Sarada.
Once in the bathroom, she showed you how to work the shower and the location of the towels. “Luckily Eijiro’s cousin was supposed to stay a month or so ago, but never did. We had bought her a bunch of new clothes, and you seem about her size. I think they will work for tonight. This door connects to my room, they’ll be on the bed, alright?” You nodded to her before she left the room.
You quickly adjusted the water to the correct temperature. Then stripped yourself of the disgusting clothes. You took a look at yourself in the mirror. Your usual brilliant (s/c) was scuffed, dull, and covered in blood. Your vibrant (h/c) was knotted, and mixed with red. You took a look at your frame. Your knees scraped and bloody. You took a look at the scars on your thighs and bruises on your body. I can’t believe I ever did this... What will Kirishima think?
You thought about the red head, shocked at how much his opinion already mattered to you. Looking back at the marks on your body, you sighed, remembering every moment with each scar. It’d been years since you hurt yourself. Because your father started physically hurting you.
You quickly shook your head, further suppressing the memories. Once the water was warm enough, you got in. Putting your head under the running water, you felt the warmth go down your scalp and trickle down the sides of your face. You couldn’t help but moan at the sensation.
After a few moments of the bliss, you found a shampoo and put some into your palm, carefully lathering it into your hair. Your mind going back to the cute red head. I don’t know him that well... but... he seems nice enough... truthfully, you wanted to smack yourself for already crushing on the boy, but you couldn’t help it. He was the nicest guy you’ve ever met. And that alone was enough to win your heart. Placing your hands on your cheeks, you felt the warmth that had spread. However, you decided to blame it on the water temperature.
After relaxing in the water, you decided you didn’t want to be the reason the Kirishima’s have a higher water bill, so you decided to rinse off. Running the water out of your hair, you carefully stepped out of the shower and turned the water off. You grabbed the towel and dried yourself off before wrapping it around your (body/size) frame.
You cracked the door open to Sarada’s room and checked for people. Once deeming the coast clear, you went up to the clothes on the bed and couldn’t help but squeal at the cuteness. You slid the pastel pink underwear onto your body, happy they fit comfortably. Then you slid on the pajamas. They were simple enough but still cute.
The top was a long sleeved button up, with pants to match. They were super soft, but the best part was that they were covered in cats. You fangirled over the design before going back to the bathroom and brushing your hair.
Once you finished with that task, you made your way to Kirishima and his mother who were sitting on the couch. “Um... where do I put these?” The two turned and looked at you. Sarada smiled at a job well done while Kirishima blushed and rubbed his nose.
“Eijiro, will you show her where to put the dirty clothes then show her to her room? I’m sure she’s tired as we all are.” Nodding, you watched as Kirishima got up from his seat and gestured for you to follow him. Bowing to Sarada, you followed.
Once to the laundry room, Kirishima pointed to a brown basket, “That ones for dirty clothes and towels.” He then pointed to the black one next to it, “And this one is for clean clothes and stuff.” Nodding, you set the towel and clothes into the brown basket, before turning to the red head
“Hey Kirishima... You were the one who helped me right?” The boy looked away as to avoid your gaze, a blush appearing on his cheeks as he rubbed the back of his head.
“Uh... yeah... you seemed pretty hurt. And I couldn’t call myself a man if I just left you.” You face showed you were hurt, “not that that’s the only reason I helped! I mean, I couldn’t leave an injured pretty girl by herself at night!”
You stared at the blushing mess of a boy. “You... think I’m pretty?” Almost immediately, his gaze returned to meet yours, a more serious look to his features.
“Yeah man. I mean, who wouldn’t?” You fiddled with your fingers, looking down.
“I-I just never thought of myself as pretty. Every person I’ve ever met calls me the opposite so... I grew to believe them...” The shakiness in your voice prominent as insecurities took over.
Just as quickly as your sentence was finished, two strong arms wrapped themselves around you, a hand placed on the back of your head. You stood in shock.
“Don’t listen to people like that (Y/n). I know I’m some random dude you just met. But you’re super pretty and I hope that living with us you can build some self-esteem back.” Your vision blurred with tears, as you gently placed your arms around his frame.
“Thank you Kirishima...” You two sat in silence for a moment before letting go. You missed the warmth but didn’t want to come across as weird or clingy. Avoiding each others gaze, Kirishima spoke first.
“So um... I’ll show you to your room.” He quickly turned and made his way upstairs, you following. You two made your way to a hall way with many doors. He opened one to a simple room. “This is it. Of course, you’ll be able to decorate it different if you want. And my room is next door so if you need anything you can just get me.”
Looking around the room, you smiled. It was so simple yet so comforting. You plopped onto the bed and moaned at the comfort. Kirishima’s face turned a bright red, but you were too enveloped in comfort to notice. Quickly, a cat ran into the room from around Kirishima’s legs and jumped onto the bed next to you.
“Ah! Riot c’mon! Leave her alone!” The cat jumped into your lap. Kirishima went to grab the cat but you shook your head, petting him.
“He’s alright... I love cats anyway, he’ll help me adjust.” You listened to the purrs emanating from the feline. Kirishima smiled at the sight.
“Alright then. But if he starts bugging you, feel free to kick him out.” You gaped at Kirishima.
“I don’t think I could humanly kick an animal out of a room.” This caused Kirishima to chuckle.
“Anyway. I’ll leave you two be. I’m super tired. But like I said, my room is next door, I’ll be there if you need anything.” Kirishima waved and went to leave before you quickly got up and grabbed his wrist, making him turn and look at you.
Mustering up all of your courage, you placed your hands on Kirishima’s shoulders and stood on your tip toes, giving the boy a peck on the cheek. Your cheeks were equally warm as you let go and gave him a smile.
“Goodnight Kirishima, and thank you again...”
Kirishima placed a hand on your head, and pet your hair. “Don’t thank me man. Anyway. Goodnight. Sleep well (Y/n).” And with that, he made his way to his room, closing the door behind him.
You left yours cracked so Riot could leave if he wanted, turning off your light you laid in the bed, it being surprisingly more comfortable than your own at home. Riot walked up and curled up next to you. Closing your eyes, you pet him and listened to his purrs.
I think I can get used to this... your mind started to go quiet. “Goodnight Riot...” and with that, you fell into dreamland.
If enough people comment for a part two, I might make one. Also, there’s nothing that says what Kirishima’s parents’ names are, so I came up with one and Sarada happened. I hope you all enjoy it.
