Hours after releasing a video, the woman in the CD scandal involving former Minister and BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi submitted a complaint through a lawyer to the Commissioner of Police, Kamal Pant, seeking action against the leader. Taking cognisance, Mr. Pant asked lawyer K.N. Jagadish Kumar to approach Cubbon Park police station to file a complaint. In the complaint, the woman accused Mr. Jarkiholi of sexually assaulting, cheating and threatening her after promising a government job. The woman said that the MLA had assaulted her twice and even forced her to share private pictures and talk to him. She further stated in the complaint that he made the video to defame her thinking that she may file a complaint. “I am facing threat to my life and my family hence I request you to take necessary action,” she said in her complaint. Mr. Jagadish Kumar said that as an advocate he contacted her on Facebook assuring legal help following which she had approached him with a written complaint. He demanded that the police register a complaint, and provide security to her family and to her so that she can appear before the police to give her statement. It may be recalled that Mr. Kumar, soon after the first video of the woman was released, had met Mr. Pant and submitted a requisition to take up suo motu case as per Nirbhaya guidelines. Lagos police arrests man, 32, for allegedly infecting boy, 16, with HIV and pimping him out to gay pastors
Lagos state police have arrested a man believed to be the leader of a gay group, and a teenager for engaging in homosexuality. Prince Chinecherem, 32, is the ringleader of a gay gang who engage in their illegal acts in Lekki, Lagos police claim. He was arrested alongside a 16-year-old boy. According to Lagos state Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal, Chinecherem was using the teenager as a commercial sex worker. Not only was Chinecherem having sex with the boy, he was also pimping him out to other gay men. Edgal added that both Chinecherem and the teenager were found to be HIV positive after a test was carried out, which means their customers are likely to have contracted same through them. The police have declared two prominent male pastors and some business executives wanted for allegedly having gay sex with the teenager, - a minor. It was gathered that Chinecherem during interrogation, gave the identities of other members of the group including the prominent persons being hunted. Explaining how Chinecherem and the teenager were arrested, Edgal told newsmen that a teenager was seen sneaking out of Chinecherem’s house at Ejigbo in a suspicious manner on the 22nd of January. Suspicious neighbours approached him and asked what he had gone to do in the house but he could not give a satisfactory answer. The neighbours asked him to open a bag he was carrying and in it was used condoms with semen inside. Edgal added: At this point, the boy revealed that Prince Chinecherem was his lover. The matter was immediately reported to the Police at Ejigbo and the said Prince Chinecherem was arrested for interrogation. After preliminary investigation, the matter was called for further enquiry by the Gender Section of the Command. Both the suspects and the survivor were taken for medical examination and the result revealed that the survivor has long been introduced to homosexual act. The worst is that both of them are infected with HIV virus which causes AIDS. Edgal said the suspects would be charged to Sexual and Special Offences Court in Ikeja and that the boy had been sent to health counselors for health talk on how to manage the situation. #Reposting @gideonokeke.ng with @instarepost_app -- I AM NOT A MERE STATISTIC. Yesterday, after I had finished from a scheduled meeting with @charlesotudor I left the Eko Hotel and joined the gradually building traffic leading on to Lekki. Only a few minutes from my meeting, had I unfortunately run into a minor collision with another driver, Mrs Mosunmola Ilori, at the Lekki Phase 1 roundabout. We both inspected the damage(s), conferred and thought first, to get off the road for oncoming traffic. Just less than 10feet away from all this were the Lastma and Police, sharing the police post at the roundabout. All I asked, was their assistance (witnessed by Mrs Ilori) in getting some barricades off the road for us to park properly and this scenario I have just described, turned into a full blown fiasco, seeing 4 police officers pounce on me and 2 others on Mrs Ilori and her niece. I have come off this incident with stitches in my mouth and chin. Mrs Ilori as well, to the full glare and amazement of pedestrians and moving traffic, was ruffled up, beat, and dragged on the tarred ground. The Leading man here was one Officer IDEH DONATUS who severally pointed a gun in my chest. I hereby humbly call on the executive governor of Lagos state, @akinwunmiambode the Vice President @profosinbajo the @policenglagos and its Officers, to kindly exercise the authority of your offices in addressing these civil injustices filed at the #MarokoPoliceStation Myself, Mrs Ilori, her niece and every other Nigerian citizen, don’t need to feel vulnerable with the police.
