My VIC-20 motherboards all look a little different. The most unique one is the Rally VIC’s modified Rev E motherboard (although you can’t see the rally car stripes from the inside). The heatsinks have all been removed, the regulator has been replaced with a modern switchmode model, and the KERNAL ROM has been swapped with a modern EEPROM adapter carrying my modified ROM routines. I finally remembered to snap a good overview photo of the inside of this hotrodded VIC-20.
The Commodore desk setup improves every day. Still got some work to do with connecting the C128D to the video router

For when you wanted to expand your VIC-20 cartridge ports, keep cable clutter at bay, and make it look like a PET while doing it. While uncommon in the US and Canada, it was more frequently seen in Europe.
