Thought I’d get some early birding in this morning. Boy did I. Found this #CommonNightHawk struggling to move and raise its head on the side of the road. 7am is for the letter N. “N” for Nighthawk. A Nighthawk someone hit with their car and left to die. So I did my country girl pull sideways, stop the car and block anyone from hitting him thing and grabbed him up. He’s in rehab this early morning with A Place Called Hope! He’s got some head trauma and possibly a wing injury (hence why I’m holding him this way… didn’t want to fold them and cause more issues.) His left eye is messed up too. Feathers easily came off his noggin’. Cross your talons for it.
