A bullet journal girlie? Oh boy!
By now you'll know that I love a little bit of everything when it comes to hobbies, and my bullet journal is my rock in keeping accountable and responsible.
If you're saying "what's a bullet journal?" I highly recommend the Bullet Journal website for understanding the concept, and Pinterest for ideas once you've gotten the hang of the jargon! But for me, basically it's a combination of a planner, diary, and a calendar. Above is my first original spread!
Do you have a lot of family that maybe you forget to check in on? Maybe some friends who disappear for a few weeks, just like you do? Fear not! I have just the layout for you. Enter my "Comms Log."
You'll see that there's a blank spot on the left for names of family members juxtaposed against initials of the months for this year. Every month I check in on a family member or friend, I'm going to mark off that I did it with little green lines, like on an old sci Fi computer.
Anyway, I'm pretty proud of this, so if you try it, please let me know how it works for you!
Happy Bullet Journaling!
im sorry but IT'S REALLY FUNNY HOW THE ADVERTISING WENT FROM "WE HAVE THIS MANY DAYS LEFT, SIGN UP!" TO RANDOM EDITS IF I HAD A MORE THOUGHT OUT AU, I WOULD CONSIDER JOINING, MOD(S) YOU ARE FUNNY
Hehehe thank you! I'm glad you've been enjoying them. I was looking at how I used to promo a different tournament blog and noticed that I had ran into a similar predicament in the past--many slots still need to be filled + extension already given + still don't have enough sign-ups--and noticed that the memes WORKED and got us to 64 sign-ups in time so I figured. Why not do the same here. If it works, it works after all ^^ (Special thanks to @solar-systemm and @cosmiicats for helping me choose which memes to use btw!!)
I had already made a majority of the more "serious" graphics in advance so I'll still be using those. Though that does lead to a noticeable shift in tone between some posts XD
ALSO! YOU CAN STILL JOIN!! Your AU doesn't need to be fleshed out to submit it to the Collision. Getting to see an AU grow in real time is one of the fun parts about running this event. I actually have a post scheduled to post later today regarding what qualifies as something that can submitted to the Collision (with a meme attached of course, idea courtesy of Cosmic). As long as you can fill out the form, your AU is pretty much good to go! And if you're worried about the image section, I will literally accept it if you go into a document, type your AU Name, change it to a cool font (or don't), take a screenshot, and use that as your logo. Of course, in the end it's up to you whether you decide to join as a competitor or not, though I hope you enjoy AU Collision regardless! ^^

Thank you so much for hosting this event!! ✨✨ I can't imagine how insane this is to coordinate and keep track of posts to reblog. Can't wait to see how this all plays out and to learn about all these amazing AUs! 💖
Omg, you’re so kind!! That makes me so so happy to hear 💖💖💖
It is definitely a lot to handle at once as the only one running the blog, but luckily this is my 4th time running an event like this! First two were @lmk-oc-competition (rip sorry it’s so dead now), and the third was Sonic AU Collision (rip the original blog). So anyway, I’ve picked up a thing or two! (There’s a reason I ask to ping the blog for collision questions even though I already get a notification from the reblog….).
Things that YOU AU Collisioners can do to help me run things more smoothly is to always include @sonic-au-collision-zone in ALL your propaganda posts. Don’t worry about spamming me. It helps having everything in the same place so I don’t have to go hunting through the #au collision propaganda tag too much, but I will anyway bc ily all. But not enough to check the #sonic au collision propaganda tag, sorry that’s not the one I use /lh. TLDR: Tagging the blog makes life easier for me :D
Another thing is to include your AU name somewhere in the post (especially if it’s your first time posting propaganda!) because I don’t have everything memorized yet and have to constantly refer back to my sheet and look for your user (assuming you’re using the same user provided) before tagging the AU. If you wanna go above and beyond you could even use the #world: [your au] tag in your post so I can easily yoink it for myself. <3
I hope you have fun and enjoy voting on the 21st!!! Oh! And as a thanks for everyone’s support, here’s a little AU Collision fun fact: the blog, and therefore event itself, was originally called Into the Sonicverse. The name was changed shortly before the first Collision because I was inspired by the phrase “worlds collide.” While I like to play into the name literally sometimes (saying we’re taking two AUs and making them collide with each other, then exploding), the real meaning is more figurative. We all have a shared interest (Sonic) and through the event our “worlds collide” and we get to share our own little spins on the official media and maybe meet people that you didn’t realize until now, that you connect really well with even beyond STH. For the AU characters, their “worlds collide” because they meet versions of themselves that’s still them yet…different. And it’s really interesting that they get to see like “what could have been” and to come to terms with that. Sorry, I didn’t mean to get that into it beyond sharing the original name. but yeah. Thats what Sonic AU Collision means to me <3
What would be considered propaganda/what kind of propaganda is typically made?
This is my first time participating.
Propaganda can be anything! Be it art, writing, or just plain ol’ yapping about why people should vote for your AU. Propaganda can also feature other people’s AUs (which I highly encourage everyone to interact with other’s AUs). So just do whatever your heart desires and have fun!
(And yes, I accept tomodachi life shenanigans)
More information about propaganda can be found in our FAQs. It is the third question listed.
Do we get to vote on polls if we’re participating?
Yes! And also because I know this will get asked, you can vote for your own AU too if you want.
Just one last question from me, I'm also participating in another poll bass contest. I was wondering if I could make a art piece of both and use it as propaganda for both?
Yes, that’s fine! There’s a lot of overlap between here and fankid showdown I’ve noticed anyway <3
uhhh.... what happens if the roster doesn't fill?? 😥
then post cancelled. everyone go home /j
Real Answer: We’ll still start with how many submissions we ended up getting. To avoid having to cut off anyone who joined past 32 submissions, I’ve decided that some polls will include 3 AUs rather than 2. (Side note: Match-ups will be randomized). I already adjusted my bracket graphic to account for this just in case, so it shouldn’t cause me too much trouble, but I would still prefer if we reached 64 in time!
