This is the sad truth (for most)... I know the last one is a complex question and it is quite hard to figure out who has the responsibility of a machine learning model considering its complexity and everyone involved in its making. The law and government, which are two slow-changing processes, need to move as quickly as a field that is in a full explosion, and this is obviously not happening. This is one of the drawbacks happening when researchers focus on creating new technologies while not trying to communicate them simply to the population. We end up having professionals working deeper and deeper, and law governments, education systems, etc. being way behind due to this lack of work communication. Publishing peer-reviewed papers are important for progress, but writing books, doing conferences, and making videos explaining the technology in simple terms will make society follow our change at a better pace. We must not focus on getting deeper and father, but also stay as large as possible and open to communicate with other people than researchers. This will also allow us to improve AI much faster and maybe some day make it actually 'intelligent'. posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CQLlm31jy42/
Guth nan Siarach is a newly constituted grass-roots activism group based on the West Side of Lewis, one of the areas of the Scottish Gaidhealtachd with the highest density of Vernacular (or native) speakers of Gaelic. We are activists on behalf of Gaelic Vernacular speaker rights.
'S ann bhon choimhearsnachd ann an Taobh Siar Leòdhais a tha làrach-lìn ùr! Tha i dà-chànanach, Gàidhlig is Beurla. Tha bhidiothan is teacsa ann. Saoilinn gum bi barrachd ann a dh'aithgearr cuideachd. 'S urrainn dhuibh taic a chuir dhan bhuidheann air form cuideachd.
There is a new website from the community on the West Side of Lewis. It's bilingual in English and Gaelic. There are videos and text there. I think there will be more there soon too. You can give your support to them (even as a learner) on a form on the website too.
