Reposted from @gene_dunn_ Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about expenses and investments. Typically, an expense is something that is not bringing a good return. It’s costing me something while an investment is bringing a good return for the energy expended. I know in consciousness that some of our thoughts are costing us a lot more than just the time we spend thinking them. I can no longer afford thoughts that have me dwelling in the past or worrying about the future - thoughts of hate, envy, guilt, or self righteousness. All of these tend to separate us from the Good we want to experience. Contrast that with thoughts that always bring a good return. Thoughts of forgiveness, peace, joy, harmony, and an overall expectancy of Good. Ultimately, thoughts that bring us in line and join us with Love. That’s an investment that will always pay dividends!
