Some stuff I learned in my Communications class
As you guys don't know, I'm in college and I'm taking this class. I only took it because my mom suggested it. But I actually learned things.
1) It's okay to not trust someone, and to even tell them you don't. "I went to a car dealership, and the salesman said "C'mon, don't you trust me?" I said no. I just met the guy! There's nothing wrong with that. Respect and trust are EARNED, not given."
2) "The words never and always are poison. Like, "you ALWAYS do this, you NEVER do that." Don't use them."
3) "If someone asks you for an inappropriate picture, send them a picture of your house plant."
4) "Always wait until someone is calm when you're arguing. Chances are if they're mad, they're not listening."
5) "People say the more communication, the better. This is NOT true at all. Efficient communication is what is needed. Less can be better."
6) "Your tolerance is your permission."
7) "The clearer the communication, the more you're getting done."
It's just some things that stuck out to me. It's one of the classes I genuinely enjoy."
