The Flint Community Read series begins this Saturday - Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between The World And Me. This book is being used as a catalyst to have crucial conversations about social issues taking place in our neighborhood as well as similar U.S. cities. This Community Read moves way beyond discussion. This series is also about strengthening a community through relationship-building. The schedule is below. Each discussion will be facilitated by various Flint Community Members. October 8th Community Discussion will be facilitated by three Black Student Union Members from the University of Michigan-Flint campus. If interested, please share with others...tell our youth...bring someone whom you believe will benefit...learn about the book...and if you do not have a book, that's okay --- a few will be given out. Come and Share Your Voice - Saturday, October 8 at 11am - Flint Public Library (1026 E. Kearsley). #BetweenTheWorldAndMe #CommunityRead #BSUisHere #FlintCommunityRead
