#commuting woes

I've worked in Edinburgh for about a year (I live near Dundee). And of all the times I've commuted (at least once or twice a week) all buses and trains have been running and on time in both directions maybe twice? It cannot be that hard to have functioning public transport, surely? Folks in other countries (or even cities), please confirm or deny?

Jakarta Commuting Woes

I've just heard on a radio how someone spent 3 (three!) hours to travel from his home to his office. Every single day. Then, in the evening, he spent 3 (three!) hours to go back home. Every. Kriffing. Day. Three hours to cover less than 16km (10 miles). That means, average speed of 5.3 km/h (3.3 mph) A total of SIX FUCKING HOURS per day lost only to commuting.

I called someone while I was on the bus home today and they answered "HELLO?" so I replied "HELLO!" and woke up the woman sitting in front of me and startled half the bus
