Exploring this city was exhausting. They hadn’t expected to be stuck in a place like this---it was certainly not anything they were used to. It was certainly a change of pace and scenery from back home. So of course the first thing to do was to get oriented, but it was tiring to be walking everywhere. Their feet hurt, and more than anything they wanted to take a nap.
Posture slumped, their eyes scanned around for somewhere that would let them take a rest. Spotting a bench, they sighed in relief, walking over to it. They’d idly noted someone was already seated on it, but didn’t bother to really glance at them or even ask if it was okay to sit there, simply flopping onto the bench and immediately deflating.
“I hope you don’t mind if I take a nap here next to you,” they finally spoke, closing their eyes and rubbing at their temples with one hand. “I’ve been walking all around this place and I think if I continue I might die from exhaustion.”
