Q: What time is it?

A: It's about 11:30.

∆ These are the first words exchanged by Jack and Wendy in their first scene alone together 'One Month Later' from 'Closing Day'. Interesting, as the time, 11:30, is also the date: 11/30, or November 30th. Ullman explains in the interview that closing day at The Overlook Hotel is October 30th, making one month later November 30th.

∆ 11:30 resonates in the canopy behind Jack's desk with 30 photographs on two columns, the columns forming a giant 11 ... in a room filled with 11's. 

∆ We also see 11 associated with 30 under the canopy as Danny drives past 11 chairs seated around 3 tables.

∆ A pattern of 11 chairs around 3 tables is repeated in the Games Room. We would expect 12 chairs ... where did the missing chair go?

∆ And note that the single overturned chair in the Twins Hallway scene is missing a leg.

∆ There's something about Pendu's jacket similar to the multicolored jacket worn by the man bending over to load two suitcases into an elevator, just as Wendy and Danny enter  the Kitchen for the first time.

∆ Is it because the clock reads 1:30?  (1:30 horizontally flipped on an analog clock is 11:30)

∆ The last time Wendy is in the Kitchen, she holds Jack upside down as now he has become The Hanged Man, having been knock unconscious by her in the Colorado Lounge confrontation.

∆ The 'Fall of the King' is seen in the history of the Kabbalah. One of the revelations received by Aleister Crowley in transcribing The Book Of The Law (1904) was to switch the Kabbalah path assignments of Tarot 4, The Emperor and Tarot 17, The Star.  

∆ The fall of The Emperor perhaps explains all the missing chairs in Jack's throne room. The rise of The Star perhaps explains Wendy and Danny's motion toward the north-east corners of the Hotel and escape via the night sky.

∆ The Bedroom Mirror into which Jack is staring is in the north of the room and has a toilet to the south of it, just like Danny's bathroom at The Boulder Apartment.

∆ Just to the north of the bathroom mirror in the Boulder Apartment is a sewing room with a light blue green reminiscent of the color of the Room 237 Bathroom.

∆ The room just north of the Bedroom Mirror Jack looks into at the Overlook is Danny's bedroom. Hallorann tells Danny to stay out of Room 237. Wendy points at Room 237 and tells Danny to go to his room. Wendy later asks Jack to go into Room 237. 

∆ In the second of Wendy's Four Visions, after seeing Hallorann's body and being frightening by the "Great Party" man, she runs north along the eastern hallway towards a door ringed with a familiar green light. After turning the Overlook Lobby blue and the Green Hallway red, Wendy returns to the eastern hallway to face south, and see what Danny saw in the mirror at 11m30:

∆ Are the events of The Shining simply the imagination of a boy playing with himself in the bathroom? Is this the Colorado Lounge, with the shower curtain forming the canopy to the west? Is Danny facing the Colorado's own magic mirror, the mural?

∆ The mural being Jack's favorite target in his ball bouncing in the scene immediately after the 11:30 time announcement.

∆ As Wendy and Danny enter the Overlook Maze for the first time, we see a map with a compass reference to the left hand side, with north angled to the left. However, if we match the map to the entrance, the compass is oriented in the opposite direction we would assume for a mountaintop resort in Colorado, which would naturally be built on the southern face of the mountain to catch as much sunlight as possible. Of course everything about the Overlook is in opposition to Nature. 

∆ If we re-orient and superimpose the Maze Map onto a map of the Overlook Exterior, we find that Maze Map's north points toward the road used by Wendy and Danny to exit the Overlook at the film's end.

∆ So by the Maze Map's compass direction, the camera is oriented north in the final shot we see of Wendy and Danny. The road sign then points north and east.
