There she was. Standing awkwardly by the lockers, gazing at the boy she knew would never love her back, if he ever got around to even noticing her. She stood there, wearing her worn out vans, ripped jeans, and old Beatles t-shirt that still miraculously fit her after the 7 years that she had owned it. Her brown hair was partially curled, due to her not wanting to waste time on trying to impress anyone who wasn't going to care anyways. She had always wanted to look like the other girls; tall, skinny, beautiful. She had to accept that her 5'4" height, black rimmed glasses, and 'not as flat as it should be' stomach, and caramel colored skin was enough.

standing on top of the roof of my shed when i was like 4. my dad was doing construction up there i wanted to be up there with him so he brought me up and my mom had a huge fit cuz she thought i was going to fall and die but i was having fun so
