   “My mind is not something for you to pick apart on a whim, you know nothing about me, demon.” Orsino snarls, teeth bared. His body was not poised as if he were to attack, but his arms were close to his form, head bent forward, into a defensive position.

Maxima had only arrived a couple of days back but she had already heard enough about Cole to probably fill a book. Not that she particularly wanted to know, the stories were confusing and it only made her want to not approach him. He knows things, but he always tries to help. What if the people that he was trying to help did not want to think that someone could just out of nowhere know their deeper secrets? Or if they did not want help? What worried her the most is that they refer to him as a spirit, but he could not be a spirit could he? He was not possessing a corpse but he was taking the likeness of someone. They could only say that he was something, but being something did not make alarm bells that appeared on her mind ring any smoother.

And yet, as he was sitting there by one of the many stone walls overlooking the snow courtyard, almost sad expression on his eyes Maxima could not prevent herself from approaching and sitting down next to him. Feet dangling from the edge the same way that his did.

      “Are you feeling well, Cole?”

✯ - religious beliefs

For the majority of his life, Pierre has been an atheist. As a child, he never really could feel a strong connection to the beliefs of the Maker and Andraste. Every sermon he was forced to attend made him feel restless and he didn’t understand the point of prayer. 

However, during DA:I, his view of religion starts to shift to a different perceptive. While at one point he openly questioned the point of praying, he now knows that prayer is often used to comfort oneself and reassure. Sermons could be where a community gathered and interacted with each other.  

All in all, he’s very much still an atheist (and a vocal one at that) but he's more accepting and understanding of various religions and beliefs.
