As Steve had already warned Dustin, he did not have the time to check nor read his messages until he was on the plane back home. Natasha was with him and together they accessed his emails on the way-too-big phone Tony had given him. (He’d laughed at the idea of Steve Rogers with a Samsung S3 Mini, saying something about someone with hands the size of a car shouldn’t be alowed to use small phone but... That’s not the point now.
Even though he’d wanted to reply, he found it difficult typing without his keyboard and instead made sure to give Falcon and Wanda the call to meet them in Hawkins. -- With Natasha tagging along but Bucky missing, he was standing at Dustin’s door.
Natasha had insisted to go to the grocery store and buy some sponges and ajax, deciding it’d be hilarious and that they’d need to make a good impression because Steve was boring.
Nevertheless, Steve was the one to knock at Dustin’s door, Natasha standing behind him with an almost stoic face to hide her amusement, both waiting to be let in.
