Slalom & Barefoot Jumping. The similarities occurred to me, in that making slalom runs at 38' and 39.5' off is hard in itself, but then making even a partial run at 41' off is very, very, very hard. For barefoot jumpers, standing up on the ramp at 45 mph and pushing forward to the prone position is hard, but the landing after flying 75' or 80' thru the air is really, really, really hard!!! Forgotten Legend, or, What Ever Happened to Jamie Beauchesne? He won the National Open Men slalom title in 2002, and in 2003 became the 2nd skier ever to round a full buoy at 43' off in a tournament.
