🔵  Here’s a little BLUESDAY inspiration from SUPERFLEX, now on view in Infinite Blue.

A Danish artist collective founded in 1993, SUPERFLEX tackles issues of global and social concern with subversive wit. This 21-minute video slowly submerges a detailed McDonald’s replica in water, an indictment of consumer and corporate influence in the face of climate change. We are thrilled that “Flooded McDonald’s” by SUPERFLEX will be on view in our Great Hall as part of this exhibition—see it now through March 4!

Change

MY SHITTY ATTEMPT AT POETRY, I SHOULD CONTINUE TO WRITE RAPS AND STOP THIS

Conjoined thoughts in my brain

Am I insane?

Is it in vain to think that everything is plain?

But wait...

Is everything vibrant?

Or is everything the same?

I can't explain why these thoughts keep occurring in my brain.

They sit and ask

"Please, oh please refrain!"

"Please refrain from calling out each and every name 

of the ones who enjoy everything that is the same."

Hmm...

It seems they are complacent with the way things are

Well I can't be

I just venture for some change.

Complacency is the enemy.

I find long periods of satisfaction somewhat disturbing. Often time, you'll get mad at someone for doing or saying something better--something new, something you could've thought up... but you didn't because you were satisfied with what your ways and you've accepted them as the truth.  If you're not willing to put some effort into things, then you can't justify being jealous or even hating someone else for getting ahead of you.
