Zaiden Otto Hendricks comes from Berlin, Germany. He is 23 years old, male, and is the Co-President of a small company. He is Sensate, and a member of the 3/12 cluster. His faceclaim is Andy Biersack. He is The Deciever.
Born a leader and groomed for greatness, Zaiden Hendricks is best known for his unrivaled charisma. One facet of his personality is dedicated to the art of speech. He is articulate and well-read, intelligent with wisdom that surpasses his years. However, every preened businessman is shrewd, a liar with a beautiful face. He is good with words, smart enough to twist and warp lies until they seem like simple truths–and sometimes, his inclination towards lying causes him to be a manipulative and cunning young man.
He does, however, have a temper. Being cool-headed and calculated is not enough and for Zaiden, his greatest downfall is how easily angered he can be. He is egotistical, arrogant, and though he executes most actions without quite associating his emotions, he has a tendency of putting his needs above others. Every liar has a motive, and almost every single one of Zaiden’s are self-observed. His ego and selfish disposition often cause him to make short-sighted decisions as he can overestimate himself. Nonetheless, he is tireless, cunning, and will stop at nearly nothing to get what he needs or wants–and if that means ending some nobody’s life for the sake of his money and status, so be it.
For most of his life, Zaiden Hendricks attended private boarding schools all over Germany to garner the best possible education possible–courtesy of his father’s, Otto Hendricks, money. Having been born as the first and only child to the Hendricks fortune, Zaiden was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps in taking over the business. The Hendricks Company is a privately-run corporation owned under the Hendricks family–and it truly was the pride and joy of the family. The corporation specialized in high-tech gear that had yet to hit the mainstream market by storm–and thus, most of THC’s clients are big, private businesses worldwide. Without the fraternizing clientele of “common” people, the company is able to thrive off the steady gush of money that came from other big names. It allowed Zaiden to live lavishly but with the business being constantly pushed at him, the intelligent young man sought to find his own trade rather than use what his father would hand to him.
Boarding school—and soon after that, even University—taught Zaiden that business transactions were not exclusive to the corporate world. He often sought an escape from a reality—a release that would save him from the heavy atmosphere his father always seemed to carry about him—and in that search for an escape, Zaiden stumbled across the dark world of the drug-trade. Immediately, his pre-conceived notions of drug-addicts were altered. It wan instantaneous change, of course; he had once believed that the victims of addiction were scatterbrained low-lifes with not a penny to their name—but from Boarding School to University, Zaiden learned the tricks of the trade and found himself falling into the underground business of the drug cartel. It was a network, a business just like THC, and immediately his second-nature kicked in.
From age eighteen to twenty-three, Zaiden maintained a double-identity. By day, he worked alongside his father as the ideal son. By night, he was skulking the streets to clear out any sort of competition for the cartel he had sworn his allegiance to.
Born into the Hendricks family, Zaiden Otto Hendricks was the first—and only—son of Otto & Lianne Hendricks. From the day he was born, his father had decided that this boy would be the one to carry on the business his father’s father had founded. Black is the color is mother was clothed in when her still body was laid to rest six feet under after some tragic car accident on the freeway when he was only seven years old. It was the color that defined his look–from the dark, brooding set of his expression to the depth of the shadows of his personality. He was left motherless, trapped in the lap of luxury with bars set heavily upon him–and he would fight against it in the strangest ways. He would use what he had at his disposal as best as he could–the money to hide his addiction, the amenities to help him in his body-count of women, and his charming charisma as a way to prove that he was still worthy. As the only son–and child–he had expectations to uphold, and his aesthetic clearly violated it. Yet, he played nice enough to allow begrudging permission to carry on the way he dressed, the way he acted, and the way he expressed his cunning personality. Ink, piercings, leather jackets, and heavy combat boots in all black was just how he liked it. Perhaps it was an early sign of rebellion, an exaggeration of how he just didn’t want to play by his father’s rules—but even the smartest and shrewdest of businessmen could miss out on the earlier signs.
Yet, at the same time, it was as if his “punk” aesthetic gave way to a whole new world. He was dangerous. He was smart, agile, handsome, but inherently unique. The curling bands of ink, all his piercings, his dark clothes—women and men alike wished to know who the boy with the startling blue eyes really was and as he progressed through his adolescence in boarding school, it became increasingly obvious that sex & drugs acted as his escape from reality. He would do anything and everything to get exactly what he wanted—even if it meant lying, stealing, and later—murdering. He would use and abuse everything he could if it meant he didn’t have to live under the stifling mold he had been jammed into when he was little more than an infant. Perhaps it is because of his need for release, his desire to be set free from his confines, that he has such a strong superiority complex. Zaiden will fight tooth and claw to get exactly what he wants and to come out on top—and after graduating from secondary school, he stumbled across a whole new sort of business. His introduction to Germany’s most notorious drug cartel was less of a shock and more of a pleasant surprise.
He had been born into a business inclined family and though he didn’t have a mother to guide him, he had a father to teach him. Zaiden immediately picked out the flaws in the system, capitalized and exploited them, and found himself a niche in a system he knew could be his one day with enough time and effort. It was exhilarating. The shock of the high, the system of overseeing the grunts over international smuggling and trafficking, the women that came with the drugs—it was like the most sinful piece of heaven and Zaiden found himself inexplicably drawn to the darkness of this… business of sorts. Immediately, he blended into the hierarchy, starting off as one of the sweeping falcons and now, five years later, he holds the position of one of the most trusted assassins of Germany’s number one criminal organization. He is close with the second-in-command and feigns respect for the current drug-lord for appearance’s sake, though in all honesty, Zaiden would much rather off him himself to secure the position on his own.
With his ambitious sights set on becoming the drug-lord of his cartel, Zaiden Hendricks was careful to lead a double-life. By day, he works side-by-side with his father. By night, he works with the peers of his separate “business” to pick targets and scheme out the best possible methods of executing and finding enemies. Deception is only one aspect of the game, but this is after all, what Zaiden lives for. The rush, the high, the power.
Hand to hand combat. Being the hitman for a drug cartel requires one to be skilled with hand-to-hand combat. He isn't formally trained, so he isn't a martial artist, but he most definitely can out-maneuver most people who try to attack him.
Gun-work. His gunman skills are even better than his combatative skills, as being a hitman requires you to be stealthy. He can handle guns easily and is a great shot.
Handling money-matters. Being the heir to a blossoming company in the business realmmeans money and fiscal responsibilities are second-nature... and that is only enforced by the fact that he works for a drug-ring, as well.
Lying. He's The Deceiver... it's his specialty. Charismatic, well-mannered, and good with words, Zaiden knows when and how to lie.
His addiction is a secret to nearly everyone he deals with on a daily basis outside of his cartel and he relies very heavily on having that secret kept, as it would cause a major scandal and stir in his father’s company if word was to get out that the heir to THC was not only an addict, but an accomplice of Germany’s most notorious cartel.
Otto Hendricks: Zaiden’s father, age 52. He is the President and CEO of THC, the Corporation owned by the Hendricks family, He is a coldhearted businessman who raised Logan to follow his footsteps and will accept nothing short of that from his only child and son. His wife was killed in a tragic car accident years ago and perhaps that is why he is so closed off and borderline cruel to those around him. He has no idea that his son is involved with shady & illegal business.
Lianne Hendricks: Zaiden’s deceased mother. She passed away when Zaiden was only seven years old. She was a beautiful woman who passed on her sharp features and blue eyes to her son.
Diedrich Ritter: The Second-In-Command in the drug cartel that Zaiden has gotten himself involved with. Age 34, he isn’t quite as sharp as Zaiden is, but he is good enough to keep the cartel running as smoothly as he can manage. He respects Zaiden and the two make a good team.
