this may be due to lack of or partial reconnection, inability to reconnect, loss of generational community, longstanding or multi generational separation from nation, solidarity with and recognition of indigenous struggles and the complex nature of indigenaity as a a sociopolitical identity
this is intended to create space for those unsure of their indigenous identity, or who want to recognize their heritage without speaking over connected indigenous peoples
the green and yellow section of the flag represent the process of reconnection, and reconnection that is lost or inaccessible respectively. the two brown stripes represent the varied connect level and varied types of nations one may have heritage from. the lower portion of the flag going from red to purple represents solidarity and fighting for indigenous rights and decolonizing oneself and the world around them
