I'm taking my 10yo macbook to the apple store tomorrow because it has started showing me a little "service recommended" alert about the battery and I want to see how much it would cost for them to replace it. And that means I'm sitting here backing it up to an external harddrive out of an abundance of caution, but also just thinking like. do not fail me now. you cannot die right now bud, you gotta outlive the ai hype I will buy a new computer someday but right now?? please god no.

The need for a standup desk became unignorable for me this week, like I could not sit in my desk chair for another minute today. Good news is I have approval to order one on the company but in the meantime I just… put my cheap lil glorified-storage-box-dorm-room-era ottoman right on top of my desk and pals, it’s immediately life changing for real

Don’t worry about the clutter, the desk remodel is a work in progress lol, but this might be the best thing I’ve ever done. I put on my own curated 90s music playlist and danced to Everclear while typing up a contract. One of the better afternoons of work I can remember.
