TBT to my start

Day 20: A week of building apps with sinatra
This was the first week of phase2. I built about 5 simple apps this week. The highlights were a craigslist style application that is designed to aid in pet 'renting and adoption'. Sometimes people just want to borrow a dog for a day!
I also built a twiiter clone called 'kitter' that is a platform for cats to post excuses why there were late. For example "I overslept in my nap and missed my other nap". I'm posting an image of landing page.
It's been a very busy week but I still have plenty of energy to have fun with what we are doing here.
The progression here at DevBootcamp is so good that i can't mark a single large step of understand that brought me to this point of learning to put together an app. After being introduced to routes in the controller I was very easily able to implement them and understand what it took to throw together an app. Shortly after learning what a route was I had built a multi-page application with more than one database table. It's all pretty mind blowing
Highlights:
+ finally getting the bcrypt gem working in order to do secure user password login/sign-up/storage.
+ Getting a lot better at reading erros and configuring my computer
+ using sessions and params. Both so cool!
+ realizing that learning all this backend has made me way better at front end.
Things I missed out on this week but want to get done soon:
- Deploy an app to heroku and get the postgres database working (the reason I didn't post links to my apps :)
- go back over all my notes. So much learning to do!
