The Girl with her Raw and Wild Secret
In the city notoriously known as a "concrete jungle", a Hong Kong girl has unexpectedly fallen in love with the often misunderstood material. Jennifer Hui, a local designer, founded probably the first design studio specialising in concrete handcrafts. Unlike the rigid appearance of concrete we find in the streets, the unique shapes like diamond as well as the minor imperfections like the tiny bubbles in products of her concretelabhk give them an unusual sense of life. (Warning: Copycats, don't try plagiarising since not all girls can withstand the heat, odour and sticky concrete mix. Oops, bling bling nails are absolutely out of the question.)
