When they are starting to bloom.

My Moonflowers are BLOOMING !! These cousins of the Morning Glories bloomonly at night. They open in just a few minutes. And they close as the sun rises. There scientific name is Ipomoea alba. I wasn’t sure if they’d bloom since our garden is on a NYC street. Would the street andbuilding lights confuse them? Seems like they don’t mind the “fake light”. I planted a whole bunch of morning glories in different colors- those should start blooming any day now. I planted both the Moon Flowers and the Morning Glories Seeds in early July - hoping they’d bloom when a lot of my garden has faded. It worked!!! I’m super excited! I just went out at 3:30 AM. I’ll try to go out earlier tmw night to catch them in a bigger, fuller bloom.
