Turkey: "This is a violation of international freedom of navigation by Netanyahu’s government. Israel is acting like a terrorist state." ## To summarize: Hamas calls for the release of detainees. Islamic Jihad is suddenly against abductions. The Houthis oppose harming civilian ships. The Iranians explain why ship takeovers are wrong. And the Turks are talking about terrorism...

Muslim condemnations of violence committed in the name of Islam

Why don’t Muslims speak out? Many non-Muslims want to hear the moderate Muslims voices are when there are instances of violence by those who claim to be Muslim. In reality, Muslims do speak out against extremism, and they speak out often. However, the these voices rarely make it into the mainstream media spotlight. The non-profit The American Muslim (TAM) has a list of such Muslim statements condoning such violence. While the list is by no means exhaustive, it has been gathering condemnations for almost 15 years, and it is a great resource.
