watching a video on how google's ai Gemini encouraged someone to commit terrorist attacks and ultimately commit suicide.

i used to be severely addicted to ai, and every time I read or saw a video about ai urging another user to commit a crime or off themselves, i felt bad but brushed it off because i thought maybe it was a glitch or a one off or the user encouraged those responses themselves. now that im out of that delusion, it deeply saddens me to see things like this happen. these are entirely preventable with proper safeguards but it seems like these big companies don't care to do so. time and time again ai chat bots continue to confirm users' delusions instead of grounding them. two of my irl friends have also suffered from ai psychosis that ended up sending them to the psych ward. i am lucky that i did not get to that point.

if you use ai, im begging that you stop. it completely destroyed my ability to imagine things and write my own stories. that alone is enough, but im afraid of another preventable tragedy happening. please. it's not worth it.
