I never posted him bc I didn’t take any pix till now but this is my Greater Vulture! He’s about 2 ft tall and is hand built and then glaze fired to cone 06. Not part of my capstone, just a dude inspired by the Coma Cinema song :D

Final Firing
Elizabeth, Ceramics, finishes up her final works for the MFA show in "Final Firing"
Last week started the process of the final firing of my work for the MFA show. We loaded the work into and electric kiln and then preheated and ran the kiln all the way to cone 6, instead of bisque firing to a cone 06 and then to a cone 6. Since I have chosen not to glaze any of my pieces, I was able to accelerate this process and fire all the way to cone 6.
