Inner circle
I always felt its important who I surround myself with.
The closest people to me, were those I could identify myself with, those that saw the whole me, that were open, honest & curious.
I have let people in my inner circle, that were not supposed to be there.
Or maybe they actually were, to teach me a lesson.
Now I carefully select those that are close to me. Those that deviate away, I feel fine of releasing. Its not as painful anymore as it used to be.
It's maybe because I realized my worth, put myself first and don't want anyone to drag me down.
I still want to be challenged, pushed, exposed to new and different things, but in a respectful way.
Its important to me to select my inner circle carefully, because they help to make me grow, more and more...

You know what's funny? I used to have a list of physical/personality traits for my future boyfriends...
But when you find the right guy, the list is just a list.
It's not the list that matters, but the connection you two share.
Leaving a Mark
He dug his nails into me
and left marks
red and raised
stinging with memories
face to face
chest to chest
breathing the same air
a give and take of words
He dug himself under my skin
where he remains
scar issue in my heart
Now he isn’t there next to me
In the mornings or a night
and the marks have faded
The red cooled from my skin
but sometimes he still stings
